The Role:
Tag Games is looking for a UI Artist to join our team for a brand-new multiplatform IP.
You will be helping to establish the visual language represented throughout the user interface from visual development and creating concepts through to production and implementation.
Within the UI/UX team you will be responsible for developing and creating industry leading visuals for user interfaces and experiences throughout the project.
You will be working closely with the Art team, the Art Manager, and the Head of Art to ensure the visual consistency and identity is retained throughout the product.
Here's what you will be doing:
- You will take a central role in the development and creation of the user interface throughout the project.
- Creating high-quality UI art assets appropriate for engine implementation.
- Maintain visual fidelity, competitive aesthetics, and present game information in a clear and comprehensible manner.
- Organise, maintain and document game-ready assets for use in user interfaces such as textures, icons, and fonts.
- Create and work with user Interface concepts, layouts, mockups, and flows to help establish and maintain creative direction.
- Work with the UI team to craft industry leading visuals for user interfaces and experiences.
- Contribute to the creation of style and implementation guidelines for your work.
- Giving, processing and iterating on feedback within the art and UI/UX departments.
To do this job, you will need:
- Excellent written, verbal and visual communication skills.
- An excellent understanding of composition, colour theory, and typography.
- A proven ability to use industry standard visual development tools including Adobe Photoshop, After Effects, and Animate.
- Experience creating motion graphics and animation for user interfaces.
- Experience in creating User Interface assets for games engines. (preferably Unity)
- A passion for graphic design, illustration and visual problem solving.
- An expansive knowledge of game user interfaces and the visual techniques used throughout the medium.
- A strong portfolio of previous projects.
- Knowledge of games development processes and pipelines.
While not required, below are nice to have:
- Knowledge of source control software.
- Previous experience with cross platform development.
